Dr Jack Mitchell

Welcome to Psyched Up Performance, where Dr Jack Mitchell, a Trainee Sport Psychologist, is dedicated to helping individuals in sports, the performing arts, and business achieve success.

Jack's experience spans recreational athletes, performance pathway athletes, and National and International squad members across various sports and age groups. He is a registered Trainee Sport Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Currently, Jack serves as a Human Performance Scientist for the Ministry of Defence and was formely the Performance Psychologist at Ipswich Town FC Women.

Jack recently held the role of Postdoctoral Senior Research Assistant at the University of South Wales, staying updated on cutting-edge developments in elite performance.

Jack prioritises an open, confidential, and empathetic environment, adhering to the BPS professional code of conduct. He has professional imdemnity insurance and has an Enhanced DBS check, ensuring the utmost care for his clients. Utilising research-informed strategies, Psyched Up Performance can help you achieve your ambitions.

Since 2019, Psyched Up Performance has provided sport psychology consultancy to athletes, performers, teams, coaches, parents, and support teams. Jack offers one-on-one sessions and group workshops tailored to individual needs for peak performance.

Accessibility is central to Psyched Up Performance. Jack meets clients at convenient locations, including their homes, and offers online consultations. Clients range from recreational enthusiasts to elite athletes worldwide.

Based in Reading, UK, Jack primarily serves Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and Greater London. He firmly believes that sport psychology can significantly enhance performance.

Jack's personal journey reflects his passion for sports, including national-level biathlon and triathlon, county-level recognition in Rugby Union and Swimming, cricket coaching, and two London marathons in 2015 and 2021.
